Kalungu is a district endowed with hardworking people, rich agricultural potential, natural resources and a growing number of opportunities for investment and socio-economic development. As political leaders, our responsibility is to ensure that the aspirations of our people are reflected in the priorities and decisions of the District.

The District Council continues to provide political oversight and support initiatives aimed at improving service delivery, strengthening local economic development and creating an environment in which every resident can participate in and benefit from development.

We recognise that government cannot achieve sustainable development without the active participation of citizens. I therefore encourage residents to take advantage of Government programmes, participate in community engagements and hold their leaders and service providers accountable.

This website is part of our commitment to keeping the people of Kalungu informed about District programmes, services, opportunities and development activities. We shall continue working with the technical team, Central Government, development partners, private sector and communities to build a better Kalungu for present and future generations.
